Faith Fenton was the pen name of Alice Freeman, a Toronto school teacher who wrote newspaper columns for the Toronto Globe and the Toronto Empire in the 1890s. In 1898, she became the Globe's special correspondent in the Yukon Territory, and accompanied the Yukon Field Force to Dawson to cover the Klondike gold rush.
